Some of my favorite things this spring have been playing outside with my son and watching my backyard lilac bushes blossom right outside of my kitchen window! This Easter was an awesome day celebrating our Savior and spending time with my family. I even managed to coordinate our outfits this year!

This year was Carson’s first Halloween! We had a blast with him! We took him to pick a pumpkin and for a hayride at Anderson Farms, Carved a giant pumpkin and put him inside (he didnt like that so much), took him to our church’s harvest festival, and of course to both grandparents houses. His Nacho costume was a hit!What’s Your favorite Nacho Libre Quote?

Happy Spring {my life}

blogapril-carson-3-1-of-15

I would like to begin this LONG blog post by saying that the past 6 months of my life have probably been some of THE hardest I’ve ever faced. I am so happy that we are in a new season and spring is finally here.

In October, my mother in law had a heart attack. She was in the ICU for over a month and we did not know if she would make it or not. Praise God that she did, she fought hard and overcame it all. She was even able to be with me in the delivery room when I gave birth to Carson. During Carson’s birth we had complications and we ended up being in the NICU the first 2 weekends of his life. The day we got home we found out my father in law had stage 4 small cell lung cancer. Healing from all of this and going through the busyness of life has been what we’ve all been doing all winter. Last week my father in law finished chemo! Only a very small amount of cancer is left and the radiation treatments should be able to knock it out completely! We are REJOICING. We are praising God for getting us though this hard time and we are so very thankful for this new season to begin! A season of happiness and thankfulness is ahead. My sister in law will be having a baby boy this week and everything is looking up for our family! On the business side of things, I am so excited to begin a busy and FUN wedding & photography season. SO for those of you who have noticed my lack of blogging and communication, I’m back and I’m really excited for the rest of this year!blogapril-carson-2-43-of-51THE cutest baby boy you will ever set your eyes upon. blogcarsonspring-1He’s teething now and pretty much drools all the time. blogapril-carson-2-48-of-51These boys are the loves of my life. Jared is the best husband and father I could imagine. blogapril-carson-2-38-of-51How I adore this boy…. blogapril-carson-2-36-of-51
