Chad & Miranda {the wedding}

What a fun weekend! Last month we traveled to the Western Slope of Colorado to a little town called Montrose! We spent the weekend there and had a blast photographing Chad & Miranda’s wedding!

To end up the night the groom busted out some amazing moved and totally surprised his bride! And I even found the YouTube video of it for the full experience! haha I LOVED THIS!

Earlier this year I got the privilege of collaborating a fun Colorado photoshoot with some of my favorite wedding vendors in Denver!! Today it was featured on the Wedding Chicks blog! I couldn’t be more relieved to finally get to unveil this photoshoot.

The vendors we worked with were phenomenal and are the best of the BEST in Denver!

And of course… the photography was done by ME and my good friend Audrey Hannah !

When Audrey, Cori, Ashley and I first got together to talk about the shoot we came up with a vintage literature theme while incorporating green and reusable items. We literally went to Goodwill, Flea markets, and vintage stores in Denver to come up with the decor. It was a blast. Everything in this shoot really can be recreated for your wedding day and the best news about it (on a budget) … everything has been re-used into something beautiful without a heavy environmental impact.

The flowers are pretty much out of this world (all of my very favorite flowers by the way) and of course everything was locally grown here in Colorado. Keeping with the green theme, one of the  gowns was designed by Adele Wechsler, who uses environmentally friendly fabrics.

One of my favorite details this about the shoot was Ashley’s brilliant idea of making an antique book page table runner and hanging books from the tree above! So perfect! (and here’s a tip - we bought the books at goodwill for $2.50 each). Also, notice the tie? I just folded up one of these book pages and it was perfect…. I think a little DIY post shot be in order soon. :)

My Life * Baby Carson

Well, since it’s been such a busy summer I figured I’d take the time right now to write a personal blog post a little update on my life! This summer we bought a house and the summer has flown by very quickly with photography, moving and getting ready for our baby! AND I’d just like you to know that I’m not the kind of woman who carries her baby like “a small basketball”, as I knew it would be … I am HUGE. But, I love it and I am so happy and excited to have my little Carson (that’s his name by the way) with me in November! And I am SO anxious for the fall time too! Not only because it’s my favorite season of the year (pumpkin spice lattes, Thanksgiving, cute sweaters, saying punkin instead of pumpkin since it drives my hubby nuts … the list goes on and on… ). When I see the fall decorations out at the store I get even more excited! Bring out these pumpkins and fall decorations! I’m READY!!

This picture is from our 18 week when we found out we were having a boy! We were so shocked! I don’t know why but we totally thought Carson was a girl but he sure made us happy to know we get a son!

Ryan & Sarah {wedding}

I was so glad to be apart of Ryan & Sarah’s wedding day! Ever since our first meeting I knew I would LOVE LOVE LOVE working with them. Sarah herself is an amazing photographer so I felt very special to be chosen to capture her wedding day. Ryan and Sarah have such a sweet story of how they met, they were both missionaries and actually had their first date in Africa. These two are probably some of them most humble, giving, and sweet people I know. God has used and will continue to use them in many ways in their ministry.

Matt & Amber {engagement} FEATURED*

I’m always so excited when I have brides who are creative and excited about their wedding day photography! Today Matt & Amber’s super FUN engagement session was featured on CoutureColorado.com ! We planned the day in Colorado Springs! Our fun started with paddle boats, then a cute picnic, penny arcade, photobooth and we ended in a candy shop! What a BLAST! You better believe Amber’s wedding is going to be SO lovely! Can’t wait for September!
